Transmedia project initiated in New York in 2010, with sessions taking place globally over a decade. The rules of the game are based on serendipity and psychogeography, and revolve around performing with knitted gasmasks from my fashion collection, in different environments. In most cases the performers are people I meet serendipitously while travelling, but some collaborations are also planned beforehand. I meet a performer, we move in the environment around us, we stop when we feel it is right, the performer takes on a mask and improvises, I film and take photos. The performers I have worked with include dancers (contemporary, jazz, vogueing, breakdance, ballet, amateur), freerunners, performance artists, skater, actors, scientists, models.
The questions that inform the project are:
Who controls the architecture that directs our movements?
Who pollutes the air we breathe?
Who decides what our identities are supposed to be?

Several videos and photos from the project have been published, exhibited and screened globally. In the videos I add audio based on human nerve signals, recorded through medical microneurography technology.
